Why All People Left Hashima Island in Japan

A concrete island with tumble-down houses and not a single tree or plant around. The gloomiest place on Earth you’ve ever seen, for sure. Can it be real? In fact, it is. Welcome to Hashima! This island 9 miles from Nagasaki is one of many hundreds of uninhabited islands in the prefecture. Unlike others, which are green and covered with forests, Hashima looks like bare rocks with no plants on them. If you look closer you’ll see that the rocks are actually empty high-risers standing on manmade coastal banks. Other videos you might like:

– For many centuries, people living on Takashima – a big island not far from Hashima, gathered coal, which lay close to the surface.
– In 18-19th centuries Takashima island was part of feudal lands belonging to the Fukahori family. They saw the profit that coal mining started to bring and took control of all the bargains in their own hands.
– Takashima coal had a high quality and soon filled the treasury of Nagasaki with foreign currency. – At the end of the 19th century they sold the island to Mitsubishi, which was a shipping enterprise then. The new owner built dwelling houses for workers.
– Hashima produced about 150.000 tons of coal each year, and its population in 1916 was 3000 people. – In 1959 the population of Hashima was over 5,200. The total square of the island is 6.3 ha, and 60% of it are rocky slopes where most of the dwelling houses are built. – Between residential houses, there were squeezed a primary school, a secondary school, a playground, a gym, a cinema, bars, restaurants, 25 different stores, and a Buddhist church.
– Hashima citizens had no umbrellas, as the mazes of corridors and stairs connected all the dwelling houses and served as a transport system. – Housing, electricity and water were free for workers, but all the residents had to take part in public works and clean-up of the territory. – The most remarkable trait of this place was a total absence of the ground and plants. Hashima was nothing more but coal ash, laid around a bare rock. – At the end of the 1960-s Japanese economy skyrocketed, and coal was admitted an ecologically dirty fuel. – The government started shutting down coalmines around the country, and Hashima wasn’t an exclusion. – Mitsubishi reduced staff on Hashima, retrained workers and sent them to other subsidiaries.
– By 1974 there were about 2000 people left on the island, and on January 15, 1974 the company officially announced the closure of the mine. – Hashima now is an abandoned and forgotten island, which looks as a strange lighthouse guarding the entrance to Nagasaki bay.
– In September 2008 Hashima (Gunkanjima) island was included in the list to get the status of UNESCO world heritage as a monument to a whole period of Japanese history. Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz

Why Nobody Can Survive in the North Pole

A lot of expeditions have mysteriously ended in disasters. In the past, many ships got stuck on the ice, and people were stranded. Some ships have sunk and were never found. Not to mention that the Arctic Ocean underneath is still relatively unexplored. Did you know that even though the South Pole is colder than the North Pole, it gets approximately 20,000 visitors per year? Whereas the North Pole only gets about 1,000, including expeditioners. Why is that? We’ve managed to explore almost all of our planet’s land, including all the inhospitable locations. And the North Pole made that list. So, what makes this place so dangerous? Why would Santa Claus choose to make this place his headquarters? What’s really going on there? Let’s try to figure it out! Other videos you might like:

Melting of the North Pole 9:26 #northpole #arctic #brighrside SUMMARY:
– The ice is approximately 6 to 10 feet thick, and it’s floating in an ocean that’s anywhere from 3,500 to 18,000 feet deep. – Even though the North Pole is literally ice, it’s actually warmer than the South Pole.
– The North Pole is ice surrounded by land, and the South Pole is land surrounded by ice. The waters underneath the North Pole are warmer than the floating ice – and the ocean warms up the air a bit.
– The North Pole has more complicated entry barriers. The main one is that it doesn’t have a fixed location. It’s just large chunks of ice that constantly move around the Artic Ocean.
– Imagine you’re walking in the woods and you get lost. Your best chance out of there is a compass. But, if you’re in the North Pole, then you’re in big trouble.
– Speaking of not being able to find your way out of there: figuring out what time it is can also be an issue in the North Pole.
– No-one really lives in the North Pole; even Inuit people who live in the surrounding Artic Regions of Russia, Greenland and Canada have never made it their home. – There’s no drinkable water at the North Pole. Early Artic Explorers had a hard time dealing with thirst. In fact, finding water in the Artic is as difficult as finding water in the desert. – Speaking of survival, there’s no vegetation in the North Pole. Trees require soil, and since the North Pole is a large block of ice, it doesn’t allow any plants to grow.
– Artic Foxes, Polar Bears, and many other terrestrial animals don’t often migrate to the North Pole, because it can be an unpredictable environment.
– Polar Bears are the largest bears on earth, and they can only survive in the freezing weather of the Artic.
– Scientists now believe that in 50 years there’ll be no Ice in the North Pole during the summer, and they’re carrying out expeditions to research things further. Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz

As Day Traders and Swing Traders our mission is simple. We are looking for stocks that we expect will move in a predictable direction. We want to take a position with a predefined stop level and profit target. Sounds easy right? In a lot of ways it is. But there are literally thousands of different strategies for trading the market. Every trader has a unique approach to trading. Our goal is to teach you our strategies. I have developed a series of profitable trading strategies for beginners. Our Trading Courses focus on the most fundamental aspects of a successful trade. // Chart Patterns
After you understand risk management and proper stock selection, we teach you how to find stock patterns on charts. These patterns are how we base our risk and reward. We look for chart patterns that have well defined areas of support and resistance. We will use previous support levels as our stop price, or our risk, and we look at previous resistance areas as our initial profit target, or our reward. If the profit vs loss ratio is 2:1 we will take the trade. I teach both day trading strategies and swing trading strategies. For day trading we focus primarily on 5min charts while swing traders focus more on daily charts. The patterns in general are the same. I teach traders how to find patterns in real-time including Bull Flags, Bear Flags, Flat Tops, Flat Bottoms, and Rubber Band Reversal Setups. // Trading Strategies
Learning risk management, proper stock selection, and chart patterns is important, but those alone don’t create a trading strategy. A trading strategy requires details on the time of day you take these trades, what type of stocks you like to trade, what percentage to success you expect. All our students are required to paper trade and prove to me that they can trade on a percentage of success that is high enough to justify real trading. If you can’t make money in a demo account, you have no business trading a real account. We have saved students hundreds of thousands of dollars by encouraging paper trading while they are learning. The market will be here for a long time to come. The important thing for you right now is to build up the skills to trade the market successfully. You will learn that once you possess the skills to consistently make $20.00/day all it takes to make $200 is larger share size. Then all it takes to make $2000 is again, larger share size. The hardest part is being consistently green just $20/day. So that is our initial target for all of our students. Profitable trading 4/5 days per week for at least 3 months.
