But I think it’s important to show you that these days happen from time to time. And it shouldn’t alter how you trade overall just because you have a losing day. I’m not going to switch up my strategy completely, but I may tweak it just a bit. In some cases, there may not be anything wrong with what you’re doing. It could be that your timing is off. You could very well be on the right track in terms of a stock fitting your patterns, but timing is a huge factor. Today’s lesson is about learning from your losses and to understand that they’re not the end of the world. Don’t let them ruin your whole day, week, or month. Another thing I want to remind everyone of is that controlling your losses is the most important lesson in my eyes. If you look at the total of my losses today, you’ll see they amount to less than $1K. That’s an extremely small fraction compared to my profits from this month. Mind you, I’m not proud to lose in general… But losses are a reality … Your job is to keep them a small percentage compared to your overall wins. Don’t forget: most traders lose, it’s the traders who know how to contain their losses to a minimum that rise above over time. So, learn from my losses by watching this video, then learn from your own. And you can take a break from trading if that’s what feels right for you. But don’t be hard on yourself. Every trader loses sometimes. Learn from it!
