Are you a football fan, and you think that you know everything about your favorite sport? Here are some interesting football facts for you, just in time for the next World Cup. The only player on the pitch who’s allowed to touch the ball is the goalkeeper and you can easily identify them by the different colors of their jerseys. For 120 years, the football shape and size have not changed, seeing as this will affect the athlete’s overall performance. A striker cannot wear the number 1 jersey – that number is reserved for goalkeepers only. #brightside Credit: CC BY 3.0: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0: di Maria: By Fanny Schertzer, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=19869407 Brazil: By Danilo Borges, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=33762772 CC BY 2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0: Al Rayyan: By Doha Stadium Plus Qatar – https://flic.kr/p/cW5FWo, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=33054683 Kazu Miura: By kanegen, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=26697862 Ballplayer: By Daniel Lobo – https://flic.kr/p/mVzYZ, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=2997588 Copa América: By Palácio do Planalto – https://flic.kr/p/2gehBXZ, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=79712293 Brasil: By Agência Brasil Fotografias, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=50488641 CC BY-SA 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/: Voetbalwedstrijd: By Open Images project, https://www.openbeelden.nl/media/785608 Neuer: By Steindy, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=15632359 FC Barcelona: By Shai Pal, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=18805723 Champions: By Tânia Rêgo/ABr, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=27027816 CC BY-SA 4.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0: Zanetti: By Aky il grande, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=41104720

Have you ever wanted to hire a limousine? What if the limo is crossed with a plane? One guy decided he wanted to combine his love for a 727 plane with the ability to drive it on the road. He removed the wings and the tail from the body and attached the plane's body to a Mercedes Benz bus. This is just one example of an unusual vehicle that was actually on the road – let's look at more of those engineering miracles. #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side.

The biggest log cabin in the world was known as the Forestry Building and was built in 1905 in Portland, Oregon. The interior of the cabin held 54 giant, unpeeled logs, and some of them were 6 feet across. And then, one night, almost 60 years later, is burnt down in only 15 minutes. Luckily, there are other constructions made of timber around the world that you can still visit today. For example, check out The Great Eastern Temple in Japan from the early 8th century or the world’s tallest wooden building, located in Norway. #brightside Credit: Minister's Tree House: By Andy Melton, CC BY-SA 2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0, https://flic.kr/p/aayxh9 tree house: By Joel Kramer, CC BY 2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0, https://flic.kr/p/5WsxtZ CC BY-SA 4.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0: Mjøsa Tower: By Øyvind Holmstad, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=79433990 HoHo: By Alexander Migl, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=86003199 Treet: By Sparrow (麻雀), https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=78179820 Granot Loma: By JNeilBrooks, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=109902157 Animation is created by Bright Side.

Would you like to spend one day with typical Londoners of the 19th century? You'll wake up using the services of knocker-uppers. These guys wandered the streets early in the morning and causally tapped on the window panes. For breakfast, you'd have bread, or sometimes porridge, depending on the area in England, and a barley drink which was believed to be packed with vitamins essential for another hard day. Next stop – work, but what would you wear? #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side.
