5+ Signs Someone Is Waiting for You to Leave the House

How to protect your home from burglary? Every year there are about 2½ million burglaries – that’s one every 13 seconds! Yep, even your own house can't be completely safe and protected from intrusion. But thieves usually tend to examine the properties they want to break into before actually doing it. That way, they can determine if it’s a place that’s worth robbing and if it would be safe to go through with their plans. So if you have that gut feeling your house is a target too, here’s what to look out for to confirm your suspicions, and what you can do about it! Well, before breaking in, burglars try to learn as much as they can: if you have an alarm system, what kind of doors and windows you have, if you have a dog, and so on. If you feel uncomfortable about weird questions some stranger asks you, casually mention that you’ve recently installed a super expensive home security system, your dog is nuts, and your partner is a cop. Oh, and your mother is a deputy sheriff at the local jail. But there are some other tips to prevent a burglary. How Far Animals Can Travel in a Day (Some Make 500 Miles!)

We’re all walking around with step-counters these days. So it makes you wonder: how does the average person compare to animals when it comes to distance traveled in a day? Many animals migrate over really long distances in search of food or water. But which animal walks the most? We know that you love cool facts about animals, so we've prepared for you a list of creatures that cover the shortest and greatest distances. For example, sloths typically cover 41 yards in a day – less than half the length of a football field. But they’re great swimmers and can get through the water 3 times faster than they move on land! Some swifts can fly over 105 mph and travel several hundred miles a day. They can be airborne for 10 months at a time! That means they cover the distance to the Moon and back several times in their life! Isn't that amazing? But what about the animal that travels not over distances but… time? #brightside Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz

The Most Unlikely Aircraft People Ever Made

How many wings does one aircraft need? The engineers of a huge flying boat called the Caproni Ca.60 would answer “9 and no less!” This winged boat was supposed to fit 100 passengers and fly over the Atlantic back in the early 1920s. Sadly, it never made it through test flights, and those transatlantic dreams were shattered… Okay, you might think most planes look the same, but these flyers are a little unconventional! From a field-sized giant to a helicopter you fly while standing on the blades, the strangest planes are here. These aircraft were really weird but no matter their appearance, some of them did manage to fly. Let's see what the most unusual planes in the world were like! EPISODES:

Animal Vision Comparison

How do animals see the world? The world might look like a colorful place, but it really depends on what your eyes let you see. Humans, for example, are sensitive to just 3 colors: red, blue, and green, but this allows us to see the millions of colors derived from them. While animals have eyes that come with all different kinds of “vision,” with some even being able to see colors we can only imagine. To understand how far animals can see, scientists use a measure called CPD. The higher it is, the better their vision. For example, springtails have CPD of 0.02. These tiny creatures can barely see shapes, because their eyes have only 8 light-sensitive cells, compared to the human eye’s 100 million. Human beings have an average CPD of 70 and can detect a burning candle from almost 2 miles away! We share the planet with billions of other creatures that are extremely different from one another, and here’s another compilation of cool facts about animals. #brightside Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz
