Jupiter’s largest moons are named Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. They’re known as the Galilean Moons to honor the genius who first noticed them. The smallest of the four moons is called Europa and is around the same size as our Moon. Ice forms here in two ways: it grows as the surrounding environment gets colder and colder.
