I ALWAYS wait for the right trades to come to me. So, I told my students not to chase this stock, even though it was spiking. I knew exactly what DECN would do, and I nailed it. When the panic played out, a lot of people told me they’d never seen that happen before. But it wasn’t new to me. Some people even thought I had insider information, but that will never be the case. One was on Marathon Patent Group Inc. (NASDAQ: $MARA) and the other was Exela Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: $XELA). I’m wrong roughly 30% of the time … But the most crucial thing about my mistakes is my acknowledging them. I also cut my losses ASAP — it’s rule #1. It’s important for me to be honest so I can pass these lessons onto my students. How can you cut losses quickly if you don’t realize you’re making a mistake? That’s why you have to constantly evaluate your performance. Track every trade. Analyze your performance regularly. I actually encourage you to make a confessional video about your own mistakes … You’ll never be a perfect trader. And that’s the point — you don’t have to be perfect. There’s no such thing. And being honest with yourself is part of this process. That’s how you improve. Now, besides having some losses, I had a really good trade with Vuzix Corp. (NASDAQ: $VUZI). The setup was on point with this one, and the reward outweighed the risk. This is a play you gotta learn, so pay attention! And I have a lot of students absolutely nailing their trades. Some are even trading better than me — I LOVE when that happens. I’ll go into detail on the two stocks I was wrong about and MUCH MORE here. Famous CEOs of publicly traded companies must be careful about the comments they make … or they can find themselves in legal trouble and even publicly shamed. In my opinion, when billionaires tweet, it only distracts them from running their corporations. I get the desire to be real while interacting with millions through social media … I’m the same way. But it can blow up fast. Here’s a recent example … Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: $TSLA), recently tweeted that his company’s stock was overvalued. Crazy, right? This tweet pissed off Tesla’s shareholders. That’s because $TSLA dropped about 10% after he posted the tweet. And remember, Tesla is a high-priced stock. It’s not a small penny stock. So $TSLA lost about $10 billion — from just ONE tweet. This was actually a pretty good short. Personally, I didn’t short it. I was scared he’d come out with some press release right after to push the price back up. And really, based on his following tweets, I think I understand what he was trying to do. But I’d never say my own products are overvalued. That can cause investors and consumers to distrust the product and the company. This just shows you that no one’s perfect. Even billionaires can make COSTLY mistakes. I’ll tell you my best guess for Elon Musk’s thought process and what I think will probably happen next for him and his company … Tune in! First, I had a decent trading day … But I hugely underestimated some big spikers: $MVIS, $MARK, $RVP, $WTRH, and $IZEA. I also missed some big plays. But that’s OK. Some of my students report nailing some of these trades. Props to them and everyone else who was prepared! Second, I want to talk about the pattern that’s working for me right now. Watch the video to learn why you have to adapt. Because to those who don’t know, it may seem like luck. But it’s actually years of trading experience that helps me spot the right setups. I’ll also talk about the catalyst that’s working right now … and how you can use that for other markets. I’ll get into that more in the video. It’s also proof of why you have to learn to adapt to the market as it is right now. So tune in as I discuss these stocks and more in this video. Pay attention to the tickers my students and I are watching … You never know which one can go supernova next. There’s an insane amount of momentum for a lot of these stocks. I think the smartest move is to learn about this niche as soon as possible — and to be flexible. Adapting well means knowing your options. There’s more out there besides penny stocks. There are other markets that could have untapped potential — cryptocurrency is one of them. Personally, I’m not a fan of crypto. Mostly because I rarely trust it. But I don’t trust a lot of these penny stock companies either, and I still trade them. That’s because it doesn’t matter what the company is about. It’s knowing how to focus on the price action. (NASDAQ: $CREX). And I’ll tell you how a press release — or a lack of one — can move a stock’s price action. It’s a little complicated. There are other factors you have to consider. And you can never anticipate exactly when a company will release news. I found CREX using the StocksToTrade social media search tool. There are thousands of stock mentions on social media. StocksToTrade is a great tool to help you find them. I’ll get into more details about this tool in this video. Back to CREX … They posted, on a website, information about their new product related to the coronavirus. But the company did this WITHOUT a press release. Seems stupid, right? Short sellers thought so. They assumed the whole thing was a scam — mentioning CREX all over social media. Here’s the thing about trades like this … I don’t trade in anticipation. There’s no way to know if a company will come out with a press release, or if it was a mistake to post product information. But what I did anticipate was that the short sellers would drive CREX’s price up just by talking about it. It’s actually funny. Their actions move the stock opposite of what they want or think should happen. I had no idea CREX would move the way that it did. But focusing on it shows my instinct was right. It’s interesting to see how press releases can affect how a stock moves. Watch this video to see how I traded CREX — and how its price action played out. This is a great example of how volatile this market is. The penny stock niche is full of these types of informational inefficiencies. You’ll never see high-priced stocks drop new products without a press release. That’s one reason I LOVE penny stocks. And the stock market bounced back as I filmed this video. It could go down again — the market’s more unpredictable than usual these days. But my students and I are still finding opportunities, regardless of whether the market’s up or down … There are too many trades to spot them all. What’s hot in this current market? There have been SO many coronavirus-related plays. Stocks related to medical equipment, potential vaccines, and even disinfectants. These are all stocks to watch right now. It’s crazy … I never thought disinfectant stocks would be hot! And the volatility is insane. So if you miss out on these plays, don’t worry. There’s still so much more out there. This coronavirus market is like a holiday market. There are plays all over the place. So you gotta find the ones that’ll work best for you and your strategies. You have to be extra vigilant. A lot of stocks are spiking on rumors, not news. But before you get into any of that, you must know which setups work best for you. Personally, I don’t like stocks that spike on rumors. A lot of these stocks right now are higher priced, too. I prefer lower-priced stocks — with specific news catalysts. Another thing I look for is whether the stock is already a big percent gainer. All of this means I’m trading LESS. Sounds counterintuitive, right? But I also prefer to WAIT for the ideal setups for my strategy and trading plans. My trading preferences may not work for you. That’s OK. I’d still encourage you to start studying my strategies. They’ve worked for me — for years. And eventually, you’ll know which strategies work best for you. So start studying and get familiar with different patterns. Study the past to understand what can work in the market now. A lot of people ask me why I don’t hold my trade positions overnight. I’d have to get up early for that, and I’m not a morning person. I’d rather be up at night filming these video lessons for you. I work non-stop so you don’t have to. Don’t get me wrong — you should definitely still study your butt off. But if I put out these lessons for you, I can help speed up your learning curve. Just to recap, my profits for April were over $42K.** That’s built up from lots of small gains. I also keep my losses small by cutting them quickly. And surprisingly, I actually went short on a trade — I’ll tell you about that in this video. Plus, I’ll show you my most notable trades for April. As for the short, Co-Diagnostics Inc. (NASDAQ: $CODX) had some negative news. I typically look for stocks that link to boiler rooms when I decide to short … And this one happened to pop up. Ageagle Aerial Systems Inc (NYSE: $UAVS) was another stock that tanked after its conference call was a bust. But a lot of people thought this company was legit. I traded it, but only on a dip buy. And it was a small percentage. I’m glad I didn’t hold that one. This is why I always say to buy the rumor and sell the news. Never fall in love with the companies in this niche. You can’t predict how they’ll move. What’s more predictable is the price action — especially if you’ve studied the past and seen similar price charts and patterns. It’s important to understand why a stock is up, but you have to stay focused. Don’t get distracted with other news. A lot of these trades deserve a closer look. So keep an eye out for my upcoming videos… For now, study this video and learn why I went short on $CODX. It’s a brand-new month! So if you didn’t hit your goals for April, get to work.
