Twitter: https://bit.ly/2P46g8n FULL DESCRIPTION It’s nice to be able to indulge in the finer things in life. But it’s NOT everything. There are simple things you can do with money that can inspire even more happiness than material things. I actually grew up in Connecticut and come from a middle-class background. And frankly, I owe SO much to my mom. If you've seen me on Wall Street Warriors, then you already know I'm a total mama's boy. I have no problem admitting that. So the best thing that I've ever done with my money is treating my family. I think my favorite purchase I’ve ever made was getting my parents out of Connecticut and buying them a place in Miami Beach. Honestly, it was a beautiful gift, and it felt so good to be able to do that for the two people who mean the most to me. I truly think the world would be a better place if people could treat their loved ones more often. I've treated myself, students, and friends too. But treating your family is just different. They brought you into this world, raised you, taught you, spent money and time on you — it's an incredible feeling to try to pay them back. They help inspire me … Every. Single. Day. I want you to feel that way too. You need inspiration to stay motivated. Motivation helps drive your work ethic … Your work ethic is what helps keep you on the grind … And the grind can help bring you closer to your goals. It’s the chain of events that can help drive the desire for success. You need to find what drives your inspiration. Trust the process! How do you want to treat your loved ones? What are the goals that help you stay committed to trading? Drop a comment below and tell me what inspires you! —————————————————————————————————————-

I’m here with Bohen talking about technical versus fundamental analysis. Wait … What are technicals? What are fundamentals? And which should you use? With technical analysis, you're analyzing the chart, price action, key resistance levels, key support levels — stuff like that. With fundamental analysis, you're analyzing the company, profits, revenues, market cap, the industry, and the sector. I think both of us are similar in that we consider ourselves techno-fundamental. We take them both into consideration. That said, it's not always about fundamentals. You have stocks that continue to spike because traders remember them. That’s why it’s vital to consider everything. The more indicators you use, the better. I call it building the case. Look at the chart, the fundamentals, the VWAP, moving averages — whichever technical indicators that you overlay on a chart. It’s not an exact science. That’s exactly why you need to consider both fundamentals and technical indicators. It can be overwhelming to analyze so many indicators at once. I created my Trader Checklist to help you break it into seven indicators. StocksToTrade Pro does something similar, too. What you’re really doing is betting on hype and hope for this product in the future. Based on your analysis and predictions, will the chart go up or down? You have to figure that out, so use all the tools that work for you. But do yourself a favor and use the tools we provide. Have patience and study. It gets easier over time. What’s your opinion— fundamental or technical analysis? I love to hear how you approach trading. Share your thoughts in the comments. #TimothySykes #Pennystocks #Investing —————————————————————————————————————-

Trading is a tough game. So today I’ll get into some hard truths you're probably not aware of when it comes to trading… No matter where I am in the world, I always watch the markets. That doesn’t mean I always trade — but I don't take any days off from studying. Even on the weekends, I research new sectors and potential percent gainers, using StocksToTrade. I’m 100% dedicated. Speaking of dedication … I’m wearing a UMBC shirt because these guys are inspiring. No one expected them to make it in the tournament, but they ending up winning it all. How? Because they put in the work every single day. They had the work ethic to excel. So this lesson doesn’t just apply to trading. It applies to everything in your life: trading, traveling, charity — whatever you’re into. No matter what you do, you need to be dedicated. And sometimes you’ll make mistakes. That’s the reality of life. Learn from your mistakes and improve. I want to be real with you. This is my life behind the scenes. Trading is risky and requires hard work. It’s said that somewhere around 90% of traders lose. Why would that be? Lack of preparation. You need to have a solid work ethic — no days off! This is my little video on realism. Trading isn’t as easy as you might think. You have to work hard. You need to be dedicated. And you’ll need to make sacrifices. It all starts and ends with you … how bad do you want this? How do you feel about the hard truths of trading? What obstacles do you face in trading? What keeps you motivated? What do you do with stocks that don’t have a lot of volume? I've seen a lot over the years. A lot of BS, hype, hope and more … and none of it has anything to do with strategy. And I've been trading for over 20 years now and teaching for about 10. When you’re looking for stocks to trade, you want to find stocks with a lot of volume or movement. Liquidity is so important. Too many newbie traders think they’ve found an ‘undiscovered gem’ because of a press release or a new product. They think they’re onto something that everyone else is missing out on … But honestly, they’re usually not. The market will tell you what’s hot. The market will tell you what matters. If a stock’s going up with big volume, it's in play. That makes it more predictable. It’s way harder, and riskier, to play a stock with little volume to no volume. You have no idea how accurate a press release is. You don't know what you don't know. I like to focus only on things that I do know. Over the years, I’ve learned some key rules. I focus on actively traded penny stocks. I like stocks that trade a few million shares a day or, at worst, a few hundred thousand shares a day. I don’t trade stocks that trade around only a few thousand shares per day. Focus on the patterns that you know in actively traded penny stocks. Heck, you don’t have to stick to penny stocks, but volume is super important. Whatever you trade, I think you should go for stocks that are in play. Remember to look for volume! What volume so you look for before you trade? When do you plan to start using a stock screener? I love to hear your trading experiences — leave a comment! #TimothySykes #Pennystocks #Investing —————————————————————————————————————-

I used to dream of owning the cars I have now, traveling the world, and giving back through charity. Yep, I had big dreams as a kid … and I made them come true. I created the life I’ve always wanted — thanks to a TON of hard work and effort. I’m not trying to brag… I want to inspire you because I’m not special. I'm just an average guy. That’s the beautiful thing. But I'm an average guy with twenty years of experience. That makes a huge difference. Remember that it takes time and patience. In the beginning, especially, it’s all about learning and building your knowledge account. What’s the one thing you really need? Dedication. Everyone wants success, but too many expect it to come fast and easy. That’s not how this works. And frankly, that's why I make videos like this. I want to inspire motivation and dedication in you. I can't do the work for you. I can’t study for you. I can't trade for you. It’s up to you to become self-sufficient. I've been to over a hundred countries now, which is insane. I've met so many people all over the world … And there’s one thing I know to be true: We’re all capable of so much more than we realize. And I think that motivation can really help. One of my top students actually found me on Instagram and started learning from me, all because he likes my Lambo. But whatever motivates you — whether it's my charity work, cars, videos, or students’ stories — use it, take advantage of it! I want you to have the freedom to do what you want to do. Too many people don’t. They can't travel or donate if they want to. Money definitely can't buy you happiness, but it can help give you the time and freedom to figure out what you love to do. And that’s a beautiful opportunity. How have my adventures helped you? What else helps inspire you? Twitter: https://bit.ly/2P46g8n FULL DESCRIPTION I’m here with three of my top students — Roland, Huddie, and Mark Croock — discussing their individual trading journeys. Roland wanted to supplement his income shortly after his second child was born. So one day, he sat down and googled ‘how to day trade’ — that’s when he discovered me. He was skeptical at first, but he saw some of my students’ stories and decided to give it a shot. He was hooked immediately! He reports that once he became consistent, he quit his job to become a full-time trader. He really enjoys the freedom it can offer … from choosing his own hours to having more time to spend with his family. Huddie’s first few years were challenging. He rode the roller coaster alright: winning and losing, struggling to get into the right mindset, and feeling demoralized after every loss. It’s no secret that he had a rough start. He knew something had to change, so he started studying his stats to help better define his strengths and weaknesses. He discovered the majority of his losses came from his longs, and most of his profits came from his shorts… That’s how Huddie finally discovered his niche. And he learned to better understand the psychology behind his trades. He also tested multiple shorting strategies to find the one that best suits his style. And he struck a balance between being a student and a part-time trader. It all started to fall into place, and it made a huge difference. Mark started thinking about his future and long-term career goals … He always had a passion for the stock market but never fully understood day trading. When he came across my trading programs and DVDs, they really grabbed his attention. This was an opportunity for him to change course and try trading full-time. He’s inspired by being able to chase his passion for the markets and seize awesome opportunities. And he’s dedicated to mastering this industry. That dedication helped him get to where he is today. How do my students' stories inspire you? Every trading journey is different … tell me a little bit about yours. I’ve made several million dollars, but how did I make my first million? Long story short, I got started at the right place and time.* I got into trading in 1998, when the stock market was booming. I made money going long. In 2000, I learned to short sell and profited from the crashing bear market. There's no right answer as to whether going long or short is better. Everyone's different — you have to find what works for you. You have to work HARD. You have to learn to adapt to the market. The best traders I know can go long and short. I prefer going long these days because I think there are a lot of shorts. A lot of newbies are shorting, and the short squeezes are getting crazy. During this time I used two patterns that I repeated. One I recognized was these companies would spike up on day two after their first big green day. I spotted these companies because they were percent gainers. This is the same research process that I use today — 20 years later. That’s why we designed the StocksToTrade software around this key indicator. I was basically buying these boiler room stocks without knowing what they were. I would ride the wave up. Another favorite pattern of mine was when companies added dot-com to their name. They would sometimes spike for three to five days as people started to get excited about this new online world. I would buy dot-com companies that kept spiking, and I’d take my gains along the way.** These are two very simple strategies that I repeated again and again. Very rarely would I lose, and over time my small profits added up to roughly a million dollars in just a few years. I entered the market at the right place and time. It didn’t happen overnight. It happened over time with hard work, dedication, and learning to manage my risk. Remember, investing and trading is always a risky business. I came into the market at the right time, but no matter what or when you trade, you need to learn to manage your risk. What can you learn from my experience? What patterns do you like to trade? Twitter: https://bit.ly/2P46g8n FULL DESCRIPTION Today, I want to explain this super sarcastic tweet. Some people understood it, but a lot of people didn't. It’s directed at a lot of short sellers who entered the market in the last year or two. Too many newbie traders just like to short anything that goes up. They think that all these penny stocks will crash. So, if the stock’s up a decent percent in the day, they think that most likely it'll go down the next day. And a lot of the time, they can be right. But this is where short sellers can get too confident and comfortable. Remember, the market can ALWAYS humble you! I've been a short seller. I've been there. The reason I strayed from shorting is because of the risk, and newbies don't always fully understand it. For those of you who don't know, shorting is when you bet on lower prices — you take a negative position. Essentially, you want the stock to go down. And most penny stocks drop after spiking for a while. Here’s the problem: A lot of newbies don't understand how high a stock can go. And if you’re a short seller who wants the stock price to fall, you lose if it goes higher. And if you’re not careful, you can lose A LOT. Short sellers try to predict the top … they try to bet on lower prices. But often times, they get squeezed. That's what a short squeeze is. So if you're a short seller getting squeezed while trying to exit your position, you have to buy to cover. That means you have to buy the stock. So you don't know if someone’s buying the stock because they think the stock is going up, or if they're just buying to cover to get out of their short. Either way, it creates more buyers, and that crushes the shorts. Always, respect rule number one — cut losses quickly. If you follow this rule, you shouldn’t have big losses. Obviously, you can't be 100% perfect … It's not completely foolproof. But that mentality can help you learn to greatly minimize your risks. What’s your approach to minimizing your risk while short selling? How has the market humbled you?
